Games are not cancelled due to rain. All players, coaches and officials are to attend the fields for all games even in the rain.
In the event of lightning at game start: If after a 15 minute wait there is still lightning in the immediate area, the game can be cancelled by the referee. If there is no lightning, then the game will be played in the rain.
In the event of lightning at any point during game play: The referee will ask all players and coaches to vacate the field for a 15 minute delay to determine if the weather will pass. If after a 15 minute wait there is still lightning in the immediate area, the game can be cancelled by the referee. If there is no lightning, then the game will be played in the rain.
Once the second half is started, if the game is cancelled due to lightning, the game will be considered completed and the score at that time will stand. If the second half is not started and the game is cancelled due to lightning then the game will be considered abandoned. If this occurs the coaches are required to notify the League Coordinator of the abandoned game within 48 hours. They will then make arrangements with the League Coordinator to reschedule the game. Failure to contact the League Coordinator within 48 hours could mean the game is forfeited, with no points awarded.
